ANMF (Vic Branch) members* can now book significantly discounted holiday accommodation on the Bellarine Peninsula.
The Ocean Grove Chalet is a beautiful, modern 15-room/unit complex that is 500 meters from the beach and a five-minute walk from the shopping and restaurant strip. The rooms and units accommodate couples and families.
It is for the exclusive use of ANMF members staying with their family and friends.
The ANMF member benefit accommodation rate is 50 per cent off the market rate.
Accommodation can be booked in a four-night block (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday) or a three-night block (Friday, Saturday and Sunday). Members can book a maximum of two blocks per calendar year.
ANMF will monitor demand and bookings and peak periods may be subject to a ballot. The rules may change after an evaluation period to ensure fair access for all members. We ask members to be patient while we fine-tune these processes.
The Ocean Grove Chalet is the first of three properties that will be available to members as part of the Branch Council’s longer financial plan.
Our CBD accommodation offering is under construction on Victoria Street, North Melbourne. This property will provide affordable member accommodation to access ANMF conferences and education at our adjacent Carson Conference Centre and Education Centre. In the heart of the Queen Victoria Market precinct, it is also perfect also for a city break for metro and regional members. With the property due to open early 2023, members will be notified when bookings open in late 2022.
A second regional Victorian property is expected to open for bookings in mid-2022.
In a survey conducted in 2020, members overwhelmingly supported ANMF investing in a holiday accommodation member benefit.
Discounted quality accommodation is a popular member benefit offered by the Western Australian and South Australian branches of the ANMF and other unions such as the Police Association Victoria.
