The ANMF (Vic Branch) Education Centre launched the Education Portal in November 2022. In the year+ since launch, the site has gone from strength to strength, providing members with over 200 free online continuing professional development (CPD) modules – designed to be completed at home, at the time of your choice and at your own pace.
Almost 23,000 members have taken advantage of the site so far. In February this year alone, we had more than 4000 module enrolments.
The modules are developed by experts in their field, and they are regularly reviewed and updated as required. In February 2024, we also added six new modules to the Portal:
- Mentoring for the nurse or midwife
- Legislative requirements for S8 and S4D medications – An overview
- Tapentadol – An opioid for pain management
- Cold chain management
- Medications in end-of-life care
- The National Principles for child safe organisations
Another recent update is that the Basic Life Support module will now be released with annual updates, allowing members to renew their CPD certificate by completing the latest version. Access the 2024 Basic Life Support module.
The Education Portal now also includes modules to support students in the Certificate IV in Training and Assessment and Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety accredited courses.
