WorkSafe Victoria has launched a podcast for Health and Safety Reps (HSRs).
In line with Section 7 of the OHS Act 2004, WorkSafe has produced the podcast to help and support HSRs in being health and safety eyes and ears on the ground.
The podcast series will look at a range of topics and offer advice, guidance and support from WorkSafe’s experts and leaders in occupational health and safety (OHS). Each podcast is approximately 20 minutes long, and covers a topic of interest to HSRs – new or experienced.

Episodes scheduled to drop by May 2024 include:
- Obligations towards HSRs
- Resolution of OHS issues
- Prohibition of discrimination
- Good consultation examples
- WorkSafe’s commitment to HSRs
Episodes are scheduled to be released weekly, on either Wednesday or Thursday. Stay up to date on the WorkSafe podcast site (available on Apple, Google and iheart radio).
In addition to the podcasts, WorkSafe also has an HSR channel offering guidance, FAQs and other supports for HSRs.
