COVID-19 student newsflash 4: Clinical placements will resume

Student clinical placements will resume Sunday 14 February

Further to our ‘COVID-19 newsflash #32: COVID-19 ‘Circuit-breaker’ action restrictions’ Saturday 13 February (3pm), the ANMF has been in discussions with the Department of Health (DH) regarding cancelled student clinical placements (item #9 in our Newsflash).

The Department of Health (DH) have advised ANMF this evening that clinical placements for nursing and midwifery students will resume tomorrow – Sunday 14 February.

Originally the Branch was advised all placements were cancelled, please disregard this. However if student members find their placement is still cancelled, contact ANMF Member Assistance.

Other concerns?

All ANMF members, including student members, can seek ANMF advice and support for an issue via Member Assistance. Issues may include your contract, pay or entitlements, personal protective equipment, rostering or working for more than one employer.
