2021 online Better Futures Forum

Better Futures Forum will be held 17-19 August 2021

Healthcare and climate change will one of the key areas covered in the online Better Futures Forum on 17-19 August.

The forum aims to unite Australians from various sectors of society and the economy to showcase climate actions and solutions in the lead up to COP26.

ANMF Environmental Health Officer Ros Morgan will be convening the ‘Healthcare workers as part of the climate solution’ session on Wednesday 18 August.

The session will cover actions health workers can take to realise zero emissions opportunities in their workplace. Topics covered:

  1. Tackling inefficiencies in the healthcare’s supply chain
  2. Implementing a Climate and Health Strategy in a healthcare network.
  3. Too much of a good thing. Implementing best practice and avoiding over treatment.
  4. Why decarbonise healthcare and what does that look like now for healthcare workers?

The forum is an initiative of Better Futures Australia. ANMF (Vic Branch) is a signatory to the Better Futures declaration committing to climate change action.
