ANMF public sector EBA campaign billboards asking for public support are currently on view in regional towns, highways and freeways and across metropolitan Melbourne.
The message on the prominent red billboards is ‘Nurses and midwives have your back, Victoria. It’s time you have ours.’
We’re referring to the critical work nurses and midwives do, the heavy lifting they did during the first five years of COVID and the pressure they are under caused by roster challenges and the casualisation of the workforce.
The billboard campaign schedule of static, digital and mobile billboards across the state is designed to support our ANMF members during their 2024-28 EBA campaign.
It will also send a signal to the employers, the Victorian Government, the media and the public that serious improvements to wages, allowances, entitlements and conditions are required to retain and recruit nurses and midwives and rebuild a robust and sustainable permanent workforce.
The schedule is staggered over a number of weeks during April and May and different locations.
Mobile billboards are scheduled later in April for Bass Coast, Colac, Gippsland, Inglewood, Maryborough, Portland and Yea where it was difficult to book a static site.
