Christmas and New Year 2023/2024 office closure

The ANMF (Vic Branch) office will be closed from 1pm, Friday 22 December 2023 and re-open 8.45am, Tuesday 2 January 2024.

If you are a member needing assistance, please complete the online Member Assistance form (scroll to the bottom of the page for the form). Our Member Assistance team will respond to your enquiry as soon as possible on our return.

An ANMF Industrial Officer will also be on-call on Wednesday 27, Thursday 28 and Friday 29 December between 8.45 and 5pm – for urgent matters only, such as termination of employment where a deadline to file is imminent, an AHPRA submission is due imminently, you have a Notice of Immediate Action, or a substantial portion of wages has not been paid. To get the contact number for the on-call Industrial Officer, contact 9275 9333 and follow the prompts.

For non-urgent matters, you may find the information you need on our member assistance page.

ANMF (Vic Branch) wishes members and your families and friends a safe and peaceful 2024.

Support services

Unfortunately, holiday periods can see an increase in domestic violence, sexual assault, alcohol abuse and mental health episodes. Often it is nurses, midwives and carers who are on the frontline dealing with the results of these issues while, at the same time, some may also be personally affected.

If you or your colleagues are experiencing family violence, please visit Safe Haven, which contains information specifically for nurses, midwives and carers.

Looking after yourself year-round is important, but it’s especially important during the upcoming season. The ANMF librarian has put together this collection of self-care and wellbeing resources to support you.

If you are in immediate danger, please contact 000.

The Nursing and Midwifery Health Program (NMHPV) will be open 8.30am–5pm weekdays (except public holidays) for those needing confidential support and referral; they can be contacted via the phone on 03 9415 7551.

If you need support outside those hours, contact Nurse and Midwife Support (24/7) online or free call 1800 667 877.
