An ANMF Industrial Officer will also be on-call on Wednesday 27, Thursday 28 and Friday 29 December between 8.45 and 5pm – for urgent matters only, such as termination of employment where a deadline to file is imminent, an AHPRA submission is due imminently, you have a Notice of Immediate Action, or a substantial portion of wages has not been paid. Unfortunately, holiday periods can see an increase in domestic violence, sexual assault, alcohol abuse and mental health episodes. Often it is nurses, midwives and carers who are on the frontline dealing with the results of these issues while, at the same time, some may also be personally affected.
