Register to volunteer at bushfire-affected areas

[Updated Friday 10 January 2020]

The Victorian Government has appointed the Rural Workforce Agency Victoria (RWAV) to co-ordinate the nursing and midwifery relief for health services impacted by the bushfires.

ANMF (Vic Branch) members seeking to volunteer nursing and midwifery care at bushfire-affected areas in Victoria are invited to register their interest.

ANMF opened a volunteer register in early January. The ANMF’s register is now closed and we have contacted hundreds of volunteers on our list with details about the RWAV register.

We were able to provide the Department of Health and Human Services with a list of volunteers after the department requested support at health services in Corryong and Alpine Shire in early January.

We thank members for their generosity in offering support at this difficult time.

The ANMF (Vic Branch) has donated $25,000 to the Bushfire Disaster Fund and is providing targeted financial assistance to members who have lost their home, property, fencing or other equipment in the bushfires.
