ANMF building achieves highest NABERS rating

The ANMF (Vic Branch) members’ building has been accredited with the highest National Australian Built Environment Rating System (NABERS) rating available.

The building, located at 535 Elizabeth Street Melbourne, was accredited with six stars for office tenancies for its efficiency, measuring:

  • energy
  • water
  • waste and
  • indoor environment.

The rating is valid for twelve months.

NABERS is a sustainability rating for buildings akin to efficiency star ratings for appliances, such as fridges or washing machines. This helps building owners to understand their building’s performance versus other similar buildings, providing a benchmark for progress.

ANMF is strongly committed to participating and leading in sustainability initiatives.

As a CitySwitch signatory, the Branch reports on our water, energy, and emissions annually. This is included in our Environmental Management Plan which also captures annual waste data.

CitySwitch signatory commitments include ‘commit to 100% renewable energy for your electricity by 2021’ which the Branch has achieved.
