Why you need to report twice

Violence and aggression by patients, residents and their family and friends is never okay, which is why all instances of workplace violence aggression should be reported.

After an incident, members should notify their employer through formal work channels and ANMF separately as reports to your employer aren’t sent to ANMF. Members sometimes mistakenly think ANMF automatically receives a copy of your report through RiskMan or VIMS. This is not the case.

Members can notify ANMF through our online reporting form which can also be found on our Diary app.

Ending violence in our healthcare system requires a government, employer and community approach. More information can be found on our ‘ Occupational violence and aggression – It’s never ok’ campaign page.
