RATIOS. RETAIN. RECRUIT. ST VINCENT’S PRIVATE HOSPITALS EBA 2024.
CAMPAIGN UPDATE #4
ANMF is aware that some members working at St Vincent’s Private Hospitals as casual employees have not received the EBA ballot link.
As per the Fair Work Act 2009, casual employees are only eligible to vote if they worked during the access period for the agreement, which was between Wednesday 16 October and Wednesday 23 October 2024.
If you are a casual and you worked during the access period and you have not received the ballot link contact your human resources department via peopleservices.svphm@svha.org.au as soon as possible to get yourself on the voter roll.
We understand some members are disappointed to not receive a vote as a casual employee. The position about casuals voting is set by the Fair Work Commission and the Federal Court and is unambiguous.
However, as a casual and an ANMF member you will be able to vote in the ANMF protected industrial action ballot which will likely occur between 6 November and 11 November, assuming the NO vote succeeds in the current ballot.
The ballot on the proposed enterprise agreement put out by your employer closes 4pm Thursday 31 October.
ANMF continues to recommend members VOTE NO. For all the reasons why, please go to our ANMF St Vincent’s Private Hospitals campaign page
All member Teams Meeting
As the ballot closes next Thursday 31 October, ANMF will hold an all-member Teams meeting to discuss next steps at 2.30pm, Friday 1 November.
To join the meeting please use the link in the email version of this newsflash. ANMF will also send the link in a members meeting notice.
We will discuss holding a protected industrial action ballot (which can only occur once members reject the proposed EBA currently out for ballot). ANMF will lodge the application for a protected industrial action protected industrial action ballot next week so the vote, as indicated above, will likely occur between Wednesday 6 and Monday 11 November.
