Members who work in aged care are invited to share their thoughts about recent and ongoing reform in the sector, and how (or if) it’s impacting the care you provide.
Federal ANMF’s national ‘pulse check’ survey of the aged care sector aims to help us better understand the impact of reforms so that so we can work for better outcomes for you.
In 2021, the Royal Commission into Aged Care Quality and Safety put forward a list of 148 recommendations to the Australian Government to address widespread and longstanding concerns about the standard of care provided to older Australians accessing aged care services.
The government has now delivered on many of these reforms – including the introduction of mandated minimum direct care minutes, the establishment of the Australian National Aged Care Classification (AN-ACC) case-mix funding model, and the development of a new Aged Care Act which came into effect on 1 November 2025.
ANMF has launched this survey aims to better understand how the recommendations of the royal commission are being implemented and experienced by aged care workers. It seeks to understand the real-world impact on your workload and day-to-day practice as well as on staffing levels, skill mix, funding, consumer safety, worker safety and clinical safety.
The survey is anonymous and should take approximately five to seven minutes to complete. It is open to ANMF members and non-members, so please share the survey link with your colleagues. It will remain open until 24 November.
Your responses will inform the ANMF’s advocacy for stronger workforce protections and better-resourced, safer aged care services. By participating you can ensure your voice is included in shaping the future direction of the sector.
