Public sector mental health EBA update – The public sector agreement ballot is now open

The electronic ballot to approve the 2024-28 Victorian Public Sector Mental Health Services Enterprise Agreement is open between 9am Friday 19 December and 5pm Tuesday 23 December 2025.

Western Health employees please see updated timing below.

The electronic ballot will be conducted by independent ballot agent Vero Voting on behalf of your employer and is open to all employees covered by the agreement, including casuals and non-ANMF members.

The results will be declared on Wednesday 24 December (except for Western Health) and if approved, an application will be made in early January to the Fair Work Commission for final approval of the 2024-2028 EBA.

ANMF recommends you vote yes

The statewide members meeting on 28 March 2025 voted to endorse the Allan Government’s revised offer. The proposed enterprise agreement includes 47 relevant parity claims from the general public sector nurses agreement, including pay parity between mental health nurses’ and the general nurses’ outcome. After months of negotiations and ANMF members taking protected industrial action for 36 days, make sure your vote counts and participate in this important process to formalise the agreement and start receiving the benefits.

It is important to vote yes so that the benefits including the pay increases and associated backpay can start to come into effect. If the majority of employees at an employer vote no, that employer will be removed from the agreement and none of the benefits of the 2024-28 EBA will apply to their employees.

More details on the proposed EBA benefits are available at anmfvic.asn.au/mheba2025/voteyes.
