ANMF members will recall from EBA update #4 that the Government provided a substandard first offer on 17 December 2024, which was rejected by ANMF on members’ behalf.
ANMF wrote to Premier Allan on 18 December to provide further detail on ANMF claims and seek an improved offer as soon as possible.
Parties last met on 17 December 2024, when bargaining finished early for the government to finalise said offer.
ANMF expressed our disappointment that other parties were not willing to recommence bargaining until 14 January 2025. ANMF has continued to make ourselves available from Monday 6 January, in order to progress matters and seek and improved offer.
Next Steps
ANMF has advised VHIA and the Department of Health that should we not receive an acceptable revised offer by 17 January 2025, ANMF will apply to the Fair Work Commission for a protected industrial action ballot, as previously endorsed by members.
Be ready to take action
To be eligible to vote in a protected industrial action ballot, ANMF members’ details must be up to date and match with their details on the employer-provided list. Members need to check their details with their employer including: surname, first name, middle name, date of birth, work and private email, mobile and postal address.
Members whose workplace and contact details don’t match may miss the opportunity to vote in the important protected industrial action ballot.
