ANMF (Vic Branch) has commenced meetings with members at Opal HealthCare ahead of the current Opal enterprise bargaining agreement’s (EBA) nominal expiry date of 30 June, with the BlueCross enterprise bargaining agreement also having reached its nominal expiry date. Following the merger of BlueCross with Opal in 2024 – and the expiry of that EBA – ANMF will be seeking to preserve better BlueCross conditions, including higher pay for some classifications.
Opal HealthCare have over 50 aged care facilities across Victoria.
What your EBA campaign needs from you
Attend members’ meetings and contribute to your log of claims
ANMF will issue notifications for members’ meetings at Opal workplaces in the coming weeks. We want to hear from nurses and personal care workers at Opal about the matters you want addressed in your next EBA and feedback on our draft log of claims. A log of claims is the members’ wishlist of improved wages and conditions that ANMF will use to negotiate your next EBA. Members unable to attend a meeting are invited to provide feedback on the draft log of claims via records@anmfvic.asn.au

Become an ANMF Job Rep
Job Reps are the vital links between the ANMF office and members in the workplace and are crucial in enterprise bargaining campaigns. Every Opal aged care facility should have at least two Job Reps. All ANMF Job Reps are entitled to access free training programs developed specifically for the role as a job rep. Become a Job Rep today.
