ANMF (Vic Branch) is aware that some members have experienced difficulty trying to renew their registration via the new AHPRA portal and welcomes AHPRA’s recent announcement that nurses and midwives will now have an extra two weeks to submit their renewal application.
Nurses and midwives will remain registered until 30 June and will not pay a late fee if they renew before 15 June.
AHPRA has also extended its customer service team hours, from 8am to 8pm AEST.
In the meantime, AHPRA recommends that nurses and midwives who are still experiencing difficulty should lodge an enquiry, including as much detail as possible.
They have also been hosting a series of online webinars via Microsoft Teams for employers and managers. The next session is Friday 23 May, 2pm—3pm AEST.
AHPRA has asked that people register for the session they wish to attend 24 hours before the event and note that each session is limited to 1000 people (so book early).
