Two new national Standards have been released recently that members should be aware of.
The Australian Commission on Safety and Quality in Health Care released the first national Stillbirth Clinical Care Standard – which aims to reduce stillbirth rates and the stigma attached to the experience – on 4 November 2022.
ANMF had the opportunity to provide feedback to the Commission’s consultation on the draft Stillbirth Clinical Care Standard (the Draft). We specifically recommended the inclusion of procedures and policies for several sections. The final version has incorporated several of our recommendations.
The Commission also released its National Safety and Quality Mental Health (NSQMH) Standards for Community Managed Organisations on 23 November 2022, to help provide safety and quality assurance for users of community mental health services, and best practice guidance for service providers and developers.
