ANMF (Vic Branch) members at Sexual Health Victoria and Monash IVF are currently voting on EBA offers. The Sexual Health Victoria offer includes a 12 per cent pay rise over two years, while the Monash IVF offer features expanded reproductive health and wellbeing leave that covers fertility treatments, endometriosis treatments and surgical care such as vasectomies, hysterectomies and preventive screenings.
The Branch is supportive of both offers and is encouraging a yes vote.
Sexual Health Victoria offer
The proposed Sexual Health Victoria and the Australian Nursing & Midwifery Federation (Victorian Branch) Enterprise Agreement 2026 is a two-year agreement that includes several significant improvements to pay, entitlement and conditions. Among them:
- 7% pay increase from the first full pay period on or after (FFPPOOA) 1 July 2025 (backpaid once the agreement commences operation)
- 5% increase from the FFPPOOA 1 July 2026.
- automatic incremental progression every 12 months’ of service within a classification
- introduction of several new classifications, creating relative pay increases through automatic incremental progression
- where unable to take a meal break, payment for the period of the break at time and a half.
- introduction of a new 3.5% allowance for Certificate IV in Training and Education.
- Superannuation will now be payable on workers’ compensation for the first eight weeks; and jury service and defence leave for four weeks each.
- increased compassionate leave (from two days to four per occasion)
- five days of paid professional development leave and five days of paid examination leave.
- delegates’ rights provision with paid union training.
The proposed agreement has a nominal expiry date of 30 June 2027, with renegotiation to begin six months before.
Voting for the proposed agreement continues until 6 April.
MONASH IVF
The Monash IVF offer, meanwhile, is a proposed three-year agreement that contains numerous positive outcomes, including:
- 14 weeks parental leave (increased from 12 weeks) for primary carers
- an increase in the professional body subsidy (for any professional body) to $225 per annum, with annual CPI indexation each March
- a minimum of two nurses per state to be able to attend the Fertility Society of Australia (FSA) conference
- four days compassionate leave per occasion (increased from two), extending to include miscarriage and stillbirth
- 15 days of paid personal leave (increased from 10) for full-time employees remains, pro-rata for part-time employees.
- five days of reproductive health and wellbeing leave per annum for permanent full-time employees (pro-rata for part-time employees and eligible casuals), inclusive of:
- fertility and assisted reproductive treatments
- surgical and preventative care (e.g., vasectomy, hysterectomy, breast/cervical/prostate/testicular surgeries, preventative screenings)
- treatment for endometriosis
- financial support for recognised courses of study will be adjusted annually in line with the March national CPI movement
- fertility/IVF on-call rates have been updated from $59.25 per shift Monday-Friday to $80.
The proposed agreement also includes pay increases of 3 per cent for each year, and a revised classification structure.
Voting for the proposed agreement continues until 10 April 2026.
