ANMF (Vic Branch) confirms advice issued to members last week of a de-escalation of Protected Industrial Action, back to the Stage 1 actions.
We refer members to EBA Update 19 where the actions available are listed for members reference.
We confirm previous advice in relation to patient safety matters during this period (see anmfvic.asn.au/heathscopeupdates).
Holmesglen Hospital
Members have now been informed that Calvary Health Care have acquired Holmesglen Hospital and that the transition of ownership will take some months longer than previously advised by management.
ANMF remains committed to achieving a positive outcome in the enterprise agreement negotiations for all members.
ANMF office shut down
The ANMF office will close at 1pm, 24 December and reopen at 8:45am on 2 January 2026. For non-urgent matters, please check the campaign page and if you can’t find an answer please lodge your query with member assistance. If your query is urgent, an ANMF Industrial Officer will be on call to assist you by calling through to the Branch and following the prompts.
Next steps
ANMF and Healthscope have scheduled meetings on 14 and 22 January 2026 and a Report Back to the Fair Work Commission on 15 January if required.
Once again, Members are to be congratulated for their stalwart commitment to achieving a positive agreement for all nurses and midwives working at Healthscope facilities in Victoria.
We wish ANMF members at Healthscope all the best over the festive period.
Can the ANMF help if I experience financial hardship as a result of pay docking?
Yes. The ANMF operates a member Hardship Fund for those involved in protected industrial action. Importantly, this is not an income replacement fund, it may provide some support to members who face significant hardship as a result of the protected industrial action where eligible. Members who are experiencing demonstrated financial hardship and have evidence of pay docking can apply at anmfvic.asn.au/healthscopehardship
Threats or harassment
It is your right under the Fair Work Act to take the forms of protected industrial including work stoppages. ‘Protected’ means you cannot be dismissed or disciplined for taking these actions. ANMF will support members who are threatened, intimidated or harassed. To report any threats, intimidation or harassment, including those relating to pay docking, go to anmfvic.asn.au/healthscopereport
