ANMF members are invited to put on their red t-shirt and join us for the International Working Women’s Day rally on Friday 6 March to walk in the footsteps of the great union women who came before us.
All are welcome to come together, build skills, share knowledge, and strengthen the campaign for safety and equality in our workplaces.
Victorian Trades Hall has organised the rally and a statewide training day, including ANMF Job Reps and HSRs, focusing on the rights and safety of women at work.
The first International Women’s Working Day was marked in Australia in 1928. Held annually on 8 March, the day has a strong history of working women organising and fighting for justice, fairness and dignity for all workers.
