Researchers from Monash University are inviting metropolitan public hospital nurses and midwives to participate in a survey about the working conditions that influence workforce retention.
The anonymous survey will take between 15 and 20 minutes.
It asks participants to consider a series of hypothetical job options with different workplace characteristics, such as salary and financial package, workload, rostering flexibility, support from managers and colleagues, occupational violence and aggression, and professional development leave.
The findings may help inform future retention strategies and workplace improvements that better reflect the priorities and experiences of nurses and midwives.
Participants can also choose to enter a prize draw for one of two $200 vouchers after completing the survey.
