ANMF members working in mental health services, or who have an interest in mental health, are encouraged to participate in a review of compulsory treatment and decision-making laws.
The review is examining both the compulsory assessment criteria and the compulsory treatment criteria in the Mental Health and Wellbeing Act 2022 (the Act). The review is also considering how the Act can be more closely aligned with other decision-making laws to improve supported decision-making principles and practices.
