Forensicare campaign update 6 – First offer from Forensicare start date for wages disappointing

ANMF has now received an offer from Forensicare. The proposed offer matches the overall wage increase achieved by both the public general nurses agreement and public mental health nurses (28.4% including the increase on 1 July 2024).

Disappointingly, the offer has not matched the pay increase commencement date, the current offer proposes wage increases to commence from the first pay period on or after 1 November 2025 as opposed to 20 May 2025 like public mental health.

The conditions largely replicate the offer in the public mental health agreement however, ANMF have sought clarification on aspects of the offer including classifications, staffing and definitions with VHIA and Forensicare.

This is despite Forensicare nurses waiting many months for Forensicare to put forward an offer endorsed by Government. ANMF have sought urgent clarification from Government regarding the proposed offer and the disparity between the proposed pay increase commencement date.

Members meeting

ANMF have scheduled an online members meeting to discuss the offer provided, the status of bargaining and protected industrial action for this Friday at 2pm.

Please ensure that you attend this important meeting. An email invite will be sent separately.

Update your details

To be eligible to vote in a protected industrial action ballot in the future, ANMF members’ details must be up to date and match with their details on the employer-provided list.

Members need to check their surname, first name, middle name, date of birth, work and private email, mobile and postal address.

Members whose workplace and contact details don’t match won’t be eligible to vote, which may limit everyone’s ability to participate in a campaign.
