EBA campaign update #29A
The ballot is open
The Eastern Health electronic ballot to approve the 2024-28 Victorian public sector nurses and midwives enterprise agreement opens 9am Thursday 19 September and closes 5pm Monday 23 September.
Note, this ballot is organised by your employer (in this case the employers’ representative – the Victorian Hospitals’ Industrial Association), not the ANMF. It is a ballot for all employees covered by the agreement, including casuals, not just ANMF members.
ANMF recommends you vote YES
The proposed agreement was reached after eight months of negotiations, between the ANMF, the Victorian Hospitals’ Industrial Association (VHIA) and senior representatives from the Department of Health and Victorian Government, and ANMF members taking protected industrial action for 51 days.
A statewide members meeting on 26 June held across nine venues in Melbourne, Ballarat, Bendigo, Geelong, Mildura, Shepparton, Traralgon, Wangaratta and Warrnambool overwhelmingly endorsed the proposed agreement.
Members can find the 2024-28 wages and allowance tables and information about the more than 70 key wins in the proposed agreement via https://anmfvic.asn.au/voteyes
Please make sure your vote counts and participate in this important process. It is critical to vote YES. If the majority of the nurses and midwives at your employer vote no, then your employer will be removed from the agreement and none of the benefits of the 2024-28 EBA benefits will apply.
