CAMPAIGN UPDATE #28A
Job Reps have alerted ANMF (Vic Branch) to a ballot process error with Eastern Health not providing eligible employees with the agreement, summary of changes and voting information at least seven days prior to the scheduled start of the ballot, as required by the Fair Work Act.
This delay means nurses and midwives employed at Eastern Health will not be able to cast their vote from 9am Monday 16 September, as planned.
ANMF has raised this issue with your employer and the employer’s representative, the Victorian Hospitals’ Industrial Association (VHIA). We understand that requisite materials have now been provided in an email on 11 September from the addresses ‘IT Service Desk (EH)’ or ‘Paul Keane’.
The email also included a timeline for voting. This timeline change is specific to Eastern Health and is due to the error by your employer in the original distribution of the material.
The ballot for Eastern Health eligible employees will now occur from:
9am Thursday 19 September 2024 to 5pm Monday 23 September 2024.
If you work at a public sector site other than Eastern Health, then you can cast your vote with that public sector employer in line with the previously published timelines (see EBA update 28), and your Eastern Health vote during the revised timelines above.
Importantly, ANMF recommends members vote YES when the ballot opens.
What’s in the agreement?
Members can find 2024-28 wages and allowance tables and information about the more than 70 key wins in the proposed agreement via https://anmfvic.asn.au/voteyes
Concerns or queries?
If you have any concerns or queries about this process, raise these with Eastern Health management. If your concerns remain unresolved, contact the ANMF Industrial Relations Organiser for your site, via email to records@anmfvic.asn.au
