St Vincent’s Private update 29: did you take annual leave instead of being stood down without pay during protected industrial action?

Please advise ANMF urgently by close of business Monday 24 March if you had to take annual leave to avoid being stood down without pay during the protected industrial action

As part of a settlement of various legal matters, St Vincent’s Private Hospitals has agreed to pay those who were stood down without pay during the protected industrial action (refusal to be redeployed) their usual wages for that shift.

In addition, St Vincent’s Private has agreed to recredit annual leave to those who were given a choice by their NUM or the Coordinator to take annual leave or be stood down without pay. They need to do this within 21 days of today.

ANMF needs to provide St Vincent’s Private Hospitals with a list of members who need to be recredited the annual leave taken as a result of taking or threatening to take protected industrial action.

If this applies to you, please complete our online form by 24 March 2025 via anmfvic.asn.au/AL

You will need to provide the following information:

  • the date of the annual leave taken because of protected industrial action
  • the ward/unit you were rostered to work on and the shift (AM, PM or ND)
  • the St Vincent’s Private Hospitals management representative who spoke to you – making the ‘offer’ of annual leave rather than being stood down without pay.

If you have any queries, please contact Organiser Mitch Hoover via records@anmfvic.asn.au
