The 2024 Delegates Conference is scheduled for Thursday 27 and Friday 28 June at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre. Registrations are now being taken, via the Delegates Portal.
All ANMF Jobs Reps and Health & Safety Reps are encouraged to register for the conference and to meet with their colleagues to identify important issues and ideas to become motions submitted on their behalf for debate.
The deadline for conference registrations is 5pm Monday 6 May.
The deadline for submitting your motions is 5pm Friday 5 April.
Motions can be submitted once you have logged into the Delegates Portal with your member details and registered for the conference.
As the Branch is currently bargaining for the public sector 2024-2028 EBA, motions submitted for consideration for the next public sector EBAs (both general and mental health) will not be included in the 2024 Delegates Conference but will be included in the 2025 Delegates Conference. Motions to be considered for other EBAs can be submitted for the 2024 conference.
Please note the changes to the accommodation protocol outlined below:
- Single rooms will be the default room choice for delegates eligible for accommodation to attend the conference (Wednesday and Thursday night). There will be a fee payable at the time of registration, with the Branch subsidising up to 50 per cent of the average room cost;
- If eligible delegates prefer to share a twin room with another delegate, the Branch will fully subsidise the cost of these rooms – however delegates will need to provide the name of the delegate they are sharing with at the time of registration and that delegate will need to confirm in turn they are also wanting to share with that delegate. Failure to do so will require the delegates to re-register for the single room option, paying the fee;
- For those eligible for accommodation, the Branch is reverting to individual dinner reimbursements (as with previous years – prior to the informal Wednesday night regional dinner), with the amount reimbursed based on the eligible meal allowance set by the Australian Taxation Office.
Rep of the Year awards
Delegates can also nominate an outstanding Job Rep for the Hannah Sellars Job Rep of the Year award, and an outstanding Health & Safety Rep for the HSR of the Year award. The deadline for nominations for both is 5pm Friday 31 May. The winners will be announced at the conference.
