Consultation drafts for capability frameworks

Consultation drafts for capability frameworks

Do you work in cardiac, renal care, surgical and procedural care or urgent/emergency and trauma care?

ANMF (Vic Branch) is seeking member feedback to prepare our submission on newly drafted Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) capability frameworks relating to those four areas.

These draft frameworks have been developed in line with the statewide plan, and the recommendations of ‘Targeting zero: report of the review of hospital safety and quality assurance in Victoria’.

The ANMF is keen to hear your feedback after reading the draft frameworks first:

  1. cardiac
  2. renal care
  3. surgery and procedural care
  4. urgent, emergency and trauma care

We want to know:

  1. Do the service requirements capture all of the workforce, infrastructure and equipment, clinical support and clinical governance requirements that a health service will need to consistently maintain a particular capability level?
  2. Are there service requirements (workforce competencies, infrastructure and equipment, clinical support services or clinical governance) that are missing?
  3. Do you have any other feedback you would like to provide, or other issues you think should be considered in finalising the capability frameworks?

Please submit your answers via online survey by 3pm 17 May.
