Acting Secretary Maddy Harradence, Industrial Officer Michelle Baldini and Mental Health Nursing Officer Jade Chandler will provide members with a verbal update on progress over the past few weeks and details of the updated wages schedule.
Members will be aware that after several weeks of discussions between the ANMF and senior Department of Health representatives, the Victorian Government provided an updated offer on Friday 6 June to all parties which contained improved timings of wage increases for nurses.
These new timings largely align with the general nurses agreement and significantly address the inequities in the previous offer.
Wage tables and more than 83 improvements
ANMF will go through the updated wage tables and summary booklet below with members at the information session:
- Victorian public sector mental health nurses and public sector general nurses wage comparison table
- Victorian public sector mental health nurses wage table weekly and hourly rates
- 2025 public sector mental health EBA summary booklet
What happens next?
ANMF Organisers and staff will this week and next will visit all 19 mental health workplaces across Victoria and will provide hardcopies of the wage tables and key EBA summary booklet.
All bargaining parties are due to meet this afternoon at the offices of HACSU, where the revised offer will be discussed further.
When supported in principle by all bargaining parties, and drafting is finalised, all public sector mental health employees, not just mental health nurses and not just ANMF members, will have the opportunity to vote on the agreement in a formal ballot in the future. This ballot is a requirement of the Fair Work Act 2009.
The employer organises the formal ballot of the EBA.
