Campaign to reduce stillbirths

Safer Care Victoria has released a webinar and other resources to ensure midwives and other healthcare professionals working with pregnant women are aware of best practice in identifying and managing decreased foetal movements. All resources are available at bettersafercare.vic.gov.au.

Midwives and other health professionals working with pregnant women are being encouraged to undertake an assessment of a woman and her foetus as soon as possible – preferably within two hours – if she reports decreased foetal movements.

Safer Care Victoria has produced a maternity e-handbook on decreased foetal movements, a clinical practice guideline and an online learning package. All resources are available at  bettersafercare.vic.gov.au.
