ANMF (Vic Branch) HQ wins CitySwitch Award

CitySwitch has recognised ANMF (Vic Branch) for our environmental leadership

ANMF (Vic Branch) is honoured to have been recognised in the 2021 CitySwitch Awards, winning the Victorian State Award for Businesses > 2000sqm for our HQ building at 535 Elizabeth Street Melbourne. View the CitySwitch report.

CitySwitch is a national sustainability program, run by local city councils. It is designed to help office-based businesses to:

  • enhance energy efficiency and reduce costs
  • reduce waste
  • improve the health and productivity of employees
  • manage energy price increases and mitigate business risks
  • work towards a carbon-positive future.

The Branch is a signatory to the program and as part of this, reports annually on our water, energy and emissions.

The CitySwitch judges commended the Branch on its Outcomes and Leadership and Communication. Among the feedback provided was that our entry demonstrated ‘positive change and leadership’ and ‘wonderful results’.

The judges were Magali Wardle from NABERS (National Australian Built Environment Rating System); Elham Monavari, from the Green Building Council of Australia; and Daniel Sheedy, from Climate Active.

The CitySwitch recognition follows on from the Branch receiving an accredited NABERS rating of 6 stars – the highest available – in December 2021. Both the NABERS rating and the CitySwitch award are a testament to the Branch’s commitment to sustainability.

As a state CitySwitch winner, the Branch was automatically entered in the running for the national awards, at which we were highly commended.
