Following several weeks of intense discussions with the Victorian Government and senior Department of Health representatives, ANMF and all bargaining parties this afternoon received an updated Victorian public sector mental health offer with improved timings for nurse wage increases.
These new timings appear to address the inequities between the general public sector nurses’ and mental health nurses wage increases.
This updated offer also included a three-tiered NUM classification structure, aligned to the general nurses NUM structure.
ANMF is now carefully working through these documents and will provide members with further information including an updated wages and allowances schedule early next week.
Members are encouraged to register for our information session which will provide public sector mental health nurse members with further information about wages and conditions in the proposed 2025 public sector mental health EBA. ANMF officials will update members on improved timings for wage increases secured by ANMF and members will have an opportunity to ask questions.
INFORMATION SESSION MEETING PROCEDURE
Acting Secretary Maddy Harradence, Industrial Officer Michelle Baldini and Mental Health Nursing Officer Jade Chandler will provide members with a verbal update on progress over the past few weeks and details of the wage increases and improved wage timings followed by a Q&A.
Members who are online and wish to ask a question will need to have their camera and microphone on and state their name and workplace. As the meeting is hybrid there will not be a chat function for members online.
ANMF will provide an EBA queries email contact for any members who still have questions following the meeting.

1/ Is this a paid meeting?
No, this is an information session.
2/ Can I attend if I am rostered on?
If you’re rostered on, you might need to arrange a shift change or talk to your manager about leaving early or arriving late (which could mean some unpaid time).
3/ Can travel be arranged for groups of members wanting to attend?
Yes if there are 10 or more members from a workplace wanting to travel to the meeting then transportation can be arranged. Please advise by 12 midday Tuesday 10 June by via events@anmfvic.asn.au.
4/ I wish to change the details of my registration. How can I do this?

5/ I want to attend online, how will this meeting take place?
While in person attendance is strongly recommended for our metro-based members, you can attend the session via Microsoft Teams.
