ANMF (Vic Branch) has negotiated a memorandum of understanding on behalf of nurses working for the DonateLife division of Lifeblood (Australian Red Cross).

The memorandum of understanding (MOU) includes a 3.17% pay increase backdated from the first full pay period on or after 1 January 2020 and a 2% increase to wages and allowances from the first full pay period on or after 1 January 2021.

The MOU also includes access to long service leave pro rata after seven years of service (including where employment terminates after seven years).

The MOU will remain in place until a new enterprise agreement is negotiated for nurses working for the DonateLife division.

The ANMF (Vic Branch) and Lifeblood agreed that nurses working in the DonateLife division of Lifeblood would transition to a separate agreement from those working in donor services because of the significant difference in the nature of their work.

The new DonateLife enterprise agreement will be discussed with all stakeholders including Australian Red Cross, the Victorian public health services who dually employ donation services nursing coordinators, and the Victorian Department of Health and Human Services.

ANMF will continue to keep members informed as negotiations progress in 2021.
