The expression of interest list for this year’s ANMF (Vic Branch) Delegates Conference is now full and a waitlist is currently in place.
The annual Delegates Conference provides members – via their ANMF Job Reps and HSRs (delegates) – a democratic opportunity to influence ANMF policy and direction. For Job Reps and HSRs it is also a highly valued forum to meet and network with peers, find out more about how the union works, gain CPD hours and more.
The conference continues to be a popular event, with places filling fast in recent years due to venue limitations on attendees. To ensure the conference remains representative and accessible to delegates across the state – and to their colleagues, our members – in 2026 we may have to limit the number of delegates attending from each workplace. So while expressions of interest have reached maximum capacity, this may not guarantee a place and registration will be subject to Branch Council review.
Waitlist places will be made available should a cancellation occur before 20 April or in the interest of equitable access, as determined by Branch Council.
Submit your motions
Motions are being accepted until 5pm 27 March.
A motion is an idea for change or improvement that comes from you. The reason most nurses and midwives have many allowances and entitlements is because they started life as a motion.
If you or your colleagues have an idea to improve any aspect of your workplace or our professions, you should discuss it now with your Job Rep and/or HSR to see if it’s suitable to be submitted as a formal motion.

If your idea is accepted as a formal motion, it will be debated by all the delegates at the conference – representing your colleagues Victoria-wide. Motions that get majority support are passed, and become resolutions. A resolution is an official statement of intent that will guide ANMF’s direction in future years.
Nominate a Job Rep or HSR for rep of the year!
Nominations remain open for the Hannah Sellers Job Rep of the Year and the HSR of the Year until Friday 22 May.
These awards are a great way to acknowledge a Job Rep or HSR who has made a difference in your workplace. Awards will be presented at this year’s conference.
