Caring. Compassionate. Dedicated. Professional.
These are some of the qualities demonstrated by nursing and midwifery students receiving a 2024 Aware Super/ANMF (Vic Branch) student award.
The awards were distributed to fifty-two students at our annual general meeting on Thursday 12 December by Branch Secretary Lisa Fitzpatrick and Melissa Bodycoat, Aware Super Strategic Partnerships Manager (award sponsor).
Students were nominated by their institutions for their results and personal attributes such as diligence, leadership, and communication skills. Feedback included:
‘He is a role model for other students in terms of his commitment to the nursing profession.’
‘Olivia demonstrated the importance of caring and therapeutic relationships with patients, their significant others and the multidisciplinary team whilst in the placement setting.’
‘Her proactive approach to personal and professional development is clear, as she actively seeks out additional opportunities to enhance her skills.’
‘Cassandra’s self-accountability, ability to self-reflect and adapt, professionalism, and ethical approach far exceed the expectations typically seen at her level.’
‘Justin embodies the values of integrity, empathy and ethical practice.’
