Job Reps and Health & Safety Reps can register for the 2023 annual regional forums scheduled for the last two weeks of February, or the three annual metropolitan seminars to be held in the first week of March.
One of your elected officers – Branch Secretary Lisa Fitzpatrick or Assistant Secretaries Paul Gilbert or Madeleine Harradence – will provide an update from the Branch as well as answer questions. Your organiser, industrial officer and other professional and OHS staff from the Branch will also be in attendance to give an overview of their work in your region.
Next year is another important year as we focus on finalising the public sector log of claims in preparation for negotiations to commence towards the end of the year. This information will be a useful refresher for all reps — public, private and community — to understand how ANMF, reps and members work together during bargaining periods.
Most seminars are scheduled between 2-4pm or 4-6pm, followed by a happy hour to give Reps a chance to network with Branch staff and each other. We have also scheduled a morning and afternoon seminar for our metro Reps in an effort to capture as many participants as possible.
